CVE-2023-2881Network attack vector

Password-hash disclosure via customer detail view

Published May 25, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Credential exposure in Pimcore Customer Management Framework before 3.3.10 allows remote authenticated users to read customer password hashes. DefaultCustomerView::getDetailviewData iterates customer field definitions but, before the patch, skipped only fields marked invisible and therefore returned password fields. Reaching the customer-detail view requires a highly privileged authenticated account, and disclosed hashes support offline password cracking.
