CVE-2023-28800Network attack vector

Administrative-session compromise via unencoded redrurl parameter

Published Jun 22, 2023 · Updated Dec 6, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Zscaler Client Connector allows remote attackers to compromise administrative sessions via crafted redirect URLs. The local-account administration flow places the redrurl parameter into a web page without context-appropriate output encoding, causing crafted input to execute as script in an administrator's browser. The attack requires a local-account administrator to open the crafted URL and affects releases before 3.9 on macOS, 3.7 on Windows, 1.4 on Linux, 1.9.3 on iOS, 1.10.2 on Android, and 1.10.1 on Chrome OS.
