Local code injection via origin validation error
Published Oct 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Origin validation error in Zscaler Client Connector for Linux before 1.3.1.6 allows local users to inject code into an existing process. Zscaler identifies origin validation as the faulty operation but has not published the affected process, validation locus, or untrusted input path. Successful exploitation requires local low-privileged access and runs injected code with the affected process's permissions.
