CVE-2023-28733Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unneutralized editor content

Published Mar 30, 2023 · Updated Feb 11, 2025

Stored XSS in AcyMailing Enterprise for Joomla before 8.3.0 allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript into campaign templates. The frontmails request accepts manipulated editor_content and stores it in a new template or email without neutralizing executable script. Campaign creation must be enabled on the front office; the payload executes when a user later accesses the poisoned template, exposing that user's browser session to script actions.
