CVE-2023-28732Network attack vector

Sensitive file disclosure via path traversal

Published Mar 30, 2023 · Updated Feb 11, 2025

Path traversal in AcyMailing before 8.3.0 allows remote attackers with front-office campaign-creation access to read server files. The front-office campaign file workflow fails to confine attacker-controlled paths to the plugin directory, so traversal sequences can list or open plugin and system files. Campaign-creation access on the Joomla front end is required, and exposure is limited to files readable by the web-server process.
