CVE-2023-28728

Arbitrary code execution

Published Jul 21, 2023 · Updated Oct 24, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Panasonic Control FPWIN Pro 7.6.0.3 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted project files. Public advisories identify project-file processing but do not disclose the parser locus, malformed field, or operation that overwrites the stack buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open a specially crafted project file, after which attacker-controlled code runs in that user's application context.
