Improper access control in Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi software before 22.220 HF allows local users with existing privileges to escalate privileges. The flaw resides in firmware for the Wi-Fi 6 AX200 package on some Microsoft Surface platforms, but Intel has not disclosed the affected access-control operation. Exploitation requires local access and high privileges and is limited to the specified AX200 software on some Surface systems.
