Cross-site scripting in Openfind Mail2000 through version 7 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via crafted phishing email content. The content-filtering function insufficiently filters special characters in email bodies, allowing injected web-page markup and script to be reflected when the message is opened in webmail. A mailbox user must open the attacker-supplied message; the documented impact is script execution in that user's webmail context, enabling data access or actions available to the session.
