CVE-2023-2870Public exploit

System reboot via exposed hardware port writes

Published May 24, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Denial of service in EnTech Monitor Asset Manager 2.9 allows local users to reboot Windows through the Se64a.sys driver. IOCTL 0x80002014 exposes __outbyte, __outword, and __outdword operations to normal users, permitting arbitrary writes to hardware I/O ports. Low-privilege local access is required, and successful exploitation forces a system restart without reported data disclosure or modification.
