Secret extraction or SSRF via external entities
Published Mar 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
XML external entity injection in Jenkins Performance Publisher Plugin 8.09 and earlier allows attackers to extract controller secrets. The PerfPublisher report-file parser resolves external entities in crafted XML because the parser does not disable them. Attackers must control a report file that Jenkins processes; exploitation reads controller-side secrets or sends server-side requests.
