Pipeline creation via unrestricted conversion endpoint
Published Mar 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Jenkins Convert To Pipeline Plugin 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to create Pipeline jobs. The Freestyle-to-Pipeline conversion endpoint accepts state-changing requests without requiring POST, allowing a victim's browser to initiate conversion. User interaction is required; code execution occurs only when the created Pipeline also contains an unsandboxed script through the separate injection flaw.
