CVE-2023-28671Network attack vector

Credential theft via CSRF-enabled connection test

Published Mar 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in Jenkins OctoPerf Load Testing 4.5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to capture stored credentials. The connection test HTTP endpoint accepts state-changing GET requests and sends credentials selected by an attacker-controlled ID to an attacker-specified URL. Exploitation requires user interaction and prior acquisition of a valid Jenkins credentials ID; the outbound connection discloses the selected secret.
