Authenticated script execution via unfiltered imgurl reflection
Published Mar 22, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Reflected XSS in PluginUs.Net InPost Gallery 2.1.4.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The add_inpost_gallery_slide_item action returns the imgurl parameter in its HTTP response without filtering or output encoding. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to open a crafted admin-ajax URL; the injected script runs in that user's browser context.
