Database data extraction via unescaped template parameter
Published Mar 22, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
SQL injection in Codemenschen Gift Cards 4.3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to extract sensitive WordPress database data. The wpgv_doajax_voucher_pdf_save_func AJAX action base64-decodes the template parameter and uses the result in an SQL statement without escaping it or preparing the query. No authentication is required; a crafted request can append SQL that reads data available to the WordPress database account.
