Privilege escalation via cross-site scripting
Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 17, 2025
Cross-site scripting in moduWeb on all SAUTER Controls modu525 versions allows remote authenticated users to act as a privileged user. Public advisories do not identify the affected request, input field, or output-encoding failure in the integrated web interface. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and a targeted privileged user to interact with attacker-controlled web content, enabling unauthorized actions in that user's context.
