CVE-2023-28652Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via malicious image upload

Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 17, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in SAUTER modu525 with moduWeb allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service via a malicious image. The moduWeb image-upload path accepts a dangerous image from an authenticated session, but SAUTER has not disclosed the image format or failing parser. A valid login gates the upload, and CISA has not specified whether the resulting denial of service is a hang, crash, or reboot.
