CVE-2023-28651Network attack vector

Administrator-browser script execution via stored PHP parameters

Published Jun 1, 2023 · Updated Jan 9, 2025

Stored XSS in CONTEC CONPROSYS HMI System before 3.5.3 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another administrator's browser. A specific PHP script stores JavaScript supplied through its parameters and later emits it during a separate PHP request. Exploitation requires administrative access to save crafted settings and an administrator to access the affected view, enabling actions in that victim's browser context.
