CVE-2023-28627Public exploitNetwork attack vector

OS command execution via unchecked Git path

Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025

OS command injection in PyMedusa Medusa before 1.0.12 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the web interface. The _run_git method accepts the configurable GIT_PATH as an executable command without verifying that it identifies an existing file. The interface can be unauthenticated unless credentials are configured, and injected commands run with the privileges of the Medusa process.
