CVE-2023-28601

Client integrity compromise via out-of-bounds operation

Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 2, 2025

Improper memory-bound operations in Zoom for Windows before 5.14.0 allow physically proximate attackers to alter protected client memory. Zoom identifies the affected locus only as a protected Zoom Client memory buffer and has not disclosed the operation or input that crosses its intended bounds. Exploitation requires adjacent-network reachability and high complexity; the bounded reported consequence is loss of client integrity.
