Memory corruption via unchecked audio buffer copy

A buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon audio processing allows local users to corrupt memory while processing audio effects. The closed-source audio component copies an input buffer without checking that the destination is large enough, so excess audio-effect data overwrites adjacent memory. The path requires high local privileges; Qualcomm has not disclosed whether successful exploitation produces a crash, code execution, or another concrete outcome.
