Local utility crash via invalid parameters
Published Dec 9, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in IBM Informix Dynamic Server 12.10 and 14.10 archecker allows local users to crash the utility. When archecker is invoked with invalid parameters, improper bounds checking overruns a heap buffer and terminates the process with a segmentation fault. Exploitation requires local command execution; published evidence limits the consequence to an archecker process crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
