CVE-2023-28513Network attack vector

Service interruption via improper message validation

Published Jul 19, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024

Improper input validation in IBM MQ and IBM MQ Appliance allows remote attackers to interrupt queue-manager service with crafted messages. The Server message-processing path fails to validate some message input before processing it; IBM has not disclosed the specific field, parser, or failure mode. Network access without authentication is sufficient against affected 9.0 through 9.3 releases under an unspecified configuration; confidentiality and integrity are not affected.
