Arbitrary file write via UDF policy bypass
Published Aug 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024
Improper file-access control in TigerGraph Enterprise 3.7.0 allows remote authenticated users to write files outside configured paths. A GSQL query containing a user-defined function bypasses GSQL.FileOutputPolicy instead of enforcing its configured output-location restrictions. An authenticated account able to execute such a query is required, and writes are limited to paths accessible to the administrative account.
