CVE-2023-28481Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Passwordless SSH access via writable authorized keys

Published Aug 14, 2023 · Updated Oct 9, 2024

Improper access control in TigerGraph Enterprise 3.7.0 allows attackers to gain passwordless SSH access by adding a public key. The TigerGraph service account can write its SSH authorized_keys file, so code executing as tigergraph can append an attacker-controlled public key without a separate authorization check. Exploitation requires code execution as the tigergraph user and grants subsequent key-based login as that same account.
