CVE-2023-28473Network attack vector

Authenticated job execution via loose MD5 comparison

Published Apr 28, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024

Improper authentication in Concrete CMS 8.5.12 and earlier and 9.0 through 9.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to run jobs. Job::authenticateRequest uses loose equality to compare the submitted authorization value with an MD5 digest, allowing numeric-string type juggling. Administrative access and a crafted job authentication value are required; exploitation runs an authorized job without its valid token.
