Unauthenticated FTS metadata disclosure via nsstats endpoint
Published Mar 23, 2023 · Updated Feb 24, 2025
Authentication bypass in Couchbase Server 6.6.0 through 7.1.3 allows remote attackers to read FTS deployment metadata. The /api/nsstats FTS statistics endpoint omits correct authentication and returns bucket names, FTS index names, and index configuration. No credentials or user interaction are required; the disclosed metadata excludes bucket and index contents, limiting the documented consequence to configuration exposure.
