Published May 22, 2023 · Updated Jan 21, 2025
Stored XSS in the User CP module in MyBB before 1.8.34 allows remote authenticated users to inject HTML through the email field. The User CP Home page renders the stored email value without neutralizing attacker-controlled HTML. Changing the email requires the account password, and script execution requires another user to load User CP Home.
