Backend secret disclosure via workspace-wide variable detection
Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 24, 2025
Information disclosure in Kyubisation angular-server-side-configuration 15.0.0 through 15.0.x allows remote attackers to read backend secrets. Version 15 widens the builder's TypeScript search from an environment file to the entire Angular workspace, records matched backend environment-variable names in ngssc.json, and later inserts their deployment values into index.html. Exposure requires a monorepo with a backend component whose referenced variables are available in the frontend deployment environment; plain Angular projects without a backend are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
