Directory traversal in Encourage Technologies ESS REC Agent Server Edition allows authenticated attackers to view or alter arbitrary server files. The public JVN advisory does not disclose the affected handler or the path-validation operation that accepts traversal sequences. The authenticated attacker must have local low-privileged access; successful exploitation permits arbitrary file disclosure or modification.
