Code execution via unchecked form boundary length
Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Memory corruption in Weston Embedded uC-HTTP 3.01.01 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted HTTP form boundary. The HTTP request parser uses an unchecked boundary length as an index into a 72-byte heap buffer, causing a null-byte overwrite of adjacent allocator metadata. Exploitation requires enabled multipart form processing and attacker-influenced heap allocation; the resulting arbitrary write can corrupt code pointers or crash the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
