CVE-2023-28373Network attack vector

Data unavailability via external key manager configuration

Published Oct 2, 2023 · Updated Sep 23, 2024

Availability flaw in the SafeMode module of Pure Storage Purity//FA allows remote authenticated users to make protected data unavailable. The vendor identifies configuration of an external key manager as the triggering operation but has not published the faulty validation or key-handling behavior. Exploitation requires array-administrator privileges and can interrupt access to system data, including snapshots intended to remain immutable under SafeMode.

Exploitability

Present is not the same as exploitable

Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
