Cleartext credential exposure in Faronics Insight 10.0.19045 allows physically proximate attackers to read the Teacher Console password. The Teacher Console HTTP server on port 8890 returns the password, license key, and version in plaintext from the localhost-only /consoleSettings endpoint. Physical access is sufficient to retrieve the credential in a browser, authenticate to the console, and remotely control connected student machines.
