Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized GET filters
Published May 22, 2023 · Updated Jan 21, 2025
SQL injection in Bumsys before 2.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries through crafted GET parameters. The core/ajax/ajax_data.php handler interpolates the s, edition, and terms parameters into SQL filters without first passing them through safe_input. Administrative access is required; successful injection can expose or alter application database data and interrupt database-backed operations.
