Denial of service via ineffective cache eviction

Resource exhaustion in BIND 9 allows remote attackers to exhaust resolver-host memory by sending specifically ordered DNS queries. The named recursive-resolver cache cleaner becomes ineffective when selected RRsets are requested in a particular order, allowing max-cache-size to be exceeded. The target must offer recursion; at the default 90% cache limit, exhausting host memory produces a denial-of-service condition.
