CVE-2023-2827

Unauthorized service requests via unsigned JWT acceptance

Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 3, 2025

Authentication bypass in SAP Plant Connectivity 15.5 allows remote authenticated users to send service requests from the internal network. The SAP Digital Manufacturing integration accepts HTTP requests carrying JSON Web Tokens without validating their signatures, so attacker-created tokens are treated as trusted. Access to the internal network and low privileges are required; forged requests can alter the integrity of the manufacturing integration.
