Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Network Load Balancing on affected Windows Server releases allows adjacent attackers to execute code. Microsoft identifies the flaw as a heap-based buffer overflow but has not disclosed the malformed NLB input, affected routine, or incorrect memory operation. Exploitation requires access to the same shared physical or logical network, needs no credentials or user interaction, and can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
