Local memory disclosure via freed GPU memory access
Published Jun 1, 2023 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Use-after-free in Arm Mali GPU Kernel Driver releases allows local users to read freed GPU memory through improper processing operations. The driver permits non-privileged GPU operations to access memory after it has been freed; Arm has not published the affected code path or triggering operation. A local non-privileged account is required, and the published impact is limited to confidentiality with no reported data modification or service interruption.
