CVE-2023-28127Network attack vector

Arbitrary file disclosure via getLogFile path traversal

Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025

Path traversal in Ivanti Avalanche 6.3.x and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through getLogFile requests. The getLogFile function uses a user-supplied path in file operations without validating that it remains within an allowed directory. Authentication is nominally required but bypassable, and successful access can disclose stored credentials for further compromise.
