SQL injection via untyped UUID DAO queries
Published Mar 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
SQL injection in Pimcore before 10.5.19 allows local users with high privileges to read or alter database data through crafted UUID input. The UUID DAO getByUuid method concatenates its argument into a quoted SQL string, while exists binds the value without enforcing a string type; the patch gives both methods typed parameters. Reachability requires application code to pass unvalidated input to either method, and the published impact excludes service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
