Credential disclosure via secret-bearing appliance dumps
Published Apr 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Credential exposure in HPE OneView Global Dashboard 2.72 and earlier allows local users to read account secrets from an appliance dump. The dump-generation process includes internally used tokens and Global Dashboard user-account credentials instead of excluding those secrets from diagnostic output. Exploitation requires low-privilege local access to the dump and discloses credentials without reported data modification or service interruption.
