CVE-2023-28072

Local code execution via crafted Remoting requests

Published Sep 4, 2023 · Updated Sep 30, 2024

Deserialization in Dell Alienware Command Center before 5.5.51.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through .NET Remoting. The .NET Remoting server deserializes attacker-supplied data from specially crafted local requests; Dell has not disclosed the affected method or missing validation. Low-privileged local access is required, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary code on the system, enabling complete host compromise.
