Authenticated server-file disclosure via external entity expansion
Published May 19, 2023 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
XML external entity injection in Weaver e-cology 9.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server files through the API. The /rest/ofs/RequestInfoByXml handler parses attacker-supplied XML with external entity resolution enabled, then places resolved file content in the response. A valid low-privileged session is required, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the application process.
