CVE-2023-28043Network attack vector

Authenticated plaintext disclosure during gateway upgrade

Published Jun 1, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025

Information disclosure in Dell Secure Connect Gateway 5.14.00.16 allows remote authenticated users to retrieve plaintext during SRS upgrades. Dell identifies the SRS-to-SCG upgrade path and maps the flaw to risky cryptography, but has not disclosed the affected data or the incorrect cryptographic operation. A low-privileged account and an active SRS-to-SCG upgrade are required, and the documented consequence is limited to reading plaintext.
