Application crash via unchecked lossless JPEG samples

Heap-buffer overflow in libjpeg-turbo 3.0 beta2 allows attackers to crash a decoding application via a crafted lossless JPEG image. The lossless decompressor leaves 12-bit samples outside the valid range, and merged upsampling then uses those values as array indices. Exploitation requires the image to be opened or otherwise decompressed with the affected lossless-processing path; the documented consequence is process termination.
