CVE-2023-28008Network attack vector

Sensitive-data exposure and memory exhaustion via XXE

Published Apr 26, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025

XXE in HCL Workload Automation 9.4, 9.5, and 10.1 allows remote authenticated users to expose sensitive data or exhaust memory. While processing attacker-supplied XML, an undisclosed parser permits external entity resolution, enabling resource reads and expansion-driven memory consumption. HCL has not identified the affected component or input path; valid low-privilege access is required, and integrity is not affected.
