Code execution via unauthenticated dashboard-file replacement
Published Mar 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Insufficient data-authenticity verification in IGSS 16.0.0.23040 and earlier allows remote attackers to plant malicious dashboard files. The Data Server accepts crafted TCP messages and writes attacker-controlled dashboard content into the IGSS project report directory without authenticating its origin. Code execution occurs only when a user later opens the planted file in Dashboard or Custom Reports, so network reachability and user interaction are required.
