CVE-2023-27977Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated report deletion via unverified TCP messages

Published Mar 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Insufficient authenticity checks in Schneider Electric IGSS 16.0.0.23040 and earlier allow remote attackers to delete project report files. The Data Server accepts crafted TCP messages without adequately verifying message authenticity, then permits deletion within the IGSS project report directory. No authentication or user interaction is required; network access to the Data Server TCP port is sufficient, and the documented consequence is loss of report data.
