CVE-2023-27921

Sensor data disclosure via hard-coded cryptographic key

Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025

Hard-coded-key exposure in JINS MEME CORE firmware 2.2.0 and earlier allows attackers to decrypt data collected by its sensor. The firmware embeds a cryptographic key used to protect sensor output, leaving captured data decryptable when the embedded value is recovered. Exploitation requires network-adjacent access; published sources report confidentiality loss only, with no data modification or service interruption.
