Code execution via crafted FBX file parsing
Published Apr 17, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Autodesk FBX SDK 2020 and earlier allows attackers to execute code or disclose information through a crafted FBX file. Autodesk has not disclosed the parser routine or malformed field that causes the out-of-bounds write during FBX file processing. Exploitation requires an application or service built with the SDK to parse attacker-controlled content, with user interaction reflected in the published CVSS assessment.
