CVE-2023-27896Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via malicious BOE server

Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025

SSRF in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 420 and 430 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service via a malicious BOE server. The application server accepts a BOE server controlled by the user and connects that server back to its own CMS; SAP has not disclosed the responsible request handler or validation failure. A low-privileged account and network access to the affected interface are required, and the documented consequence is availability loss without data exposure or modification.
